My goal is to make a safe and comfortable space where I can be the trusted person to address my patients’ needs and ensure they achieve ideal oral health.” — Dr. Shirvani
Background and Credentials
Dr. Leyli Shirvani is a general dentist, trained at renowned UCSF School of Dentistry and Azad University Dental School in Tehran, where she graduated in 2005. After five years of practice, she moved to the U.S. in 2010 in pursuit of excellence and succeeded in enrolling for the highly sought-after UCSF IDP program. After graduating from UCSF in 2015, Dr. Shirvani served as managing dentist in a private practice in Oakland, where she grew the practice significantly in quality and popularity.
In 2018, in search of opening her own practice, Dr. Shirvani met Dr. Diane Murakami. In each other, they found same relentless focus on quality and excellence in dentistry. Dr. Murakami subsequently decided to trust in Dr. Shirvani to care for her patients at a successful 40-year-old practice, and for her to take over the practice when Dr. Murakami retired.

It also gives me a great sense of gratitude when a patient gives me the chance to help enhance and maintain their oral health. It keeps me energized and gives me peace of my mind that I have listened and developed an individualized care plan for my patients, with whom I have built a personal relationship the minute they walk into my office. I am very present to a patient’s anxiety about dental treatment and make sure I listen well, build trust, and ultimately deliver.”
