Background and Credentials
Dr. Maria B. Rodriguez was born and raised in Venezuela, where she got her General Dentist degree in 2006 from the prestigious Central University of Venezuela. After practicing for 2 years her passion for learning and desire to specialize propelled Dr. Rodriguez to start a 3-year Orthodontics residency, accomplishing her master’s degree in 2011 with honorable mention from the Central University of Venezuela.
Dr. Rodriguez moved to the U.S., went to UCSF dental school for 2 years and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2016. She has been practicing Orthodontics for 10 years, mainly in private practice, and worked part time as an ad-honorem faculty at the Oral Radiology Department of her dental school.
Currently, Dr Rodriguez practices in multiple offices as the designated orthodontics provider. She offers treatment with different techniques and appliances, such as Invisalign, clear aligners, traditional braces, Damon braces, TADs and clear braces, based on different needs and requirements. Her deep understanding of occlusion and general dentistry, makes her provide more practical treatment plans.
Dr. Rodriguez speaks Spanish and English, loves to work with kids and adults. She puts all her effort into creating a peaceful environment where patients feel comfortable and relaxed, providing patient centered care focused on individual needs.
Dr. Rodriguez is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), San Francisco Dental Society (SFDS), UCSF Dentistry's Rho Rho Chapter of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honor Society and International Association for Orthodontics.
